Islamic Human Rights Commission Dances on Murdered Charlie Hebdo Staff’s Graves.

Same as Nazis Says Islamic ‘Human Rights’ Group.

This came up on Facebook,

MURDERED CHARLIE HEBDO STAFF NAMED ‘INTERNATIONAL ISLAMOPHOBE OF THE YEAR’

We turn to the link on  and find, indeed this is the case:

IHRC’s Islamophobia awards.

There are also no prizes for guessing the winner of the “International” category.

The French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo which was the target of a murderous attack in January won the prize here for its continual stoking of Islamophobic sentiment by caricaturing Muslims as terrorists and ridiculing their beliefs.

Charlie Hebdo’s repeated mocking of Muslims is part of a culture of hate that is intended to marginalise, further alienate and further endanger a community that has effectively been “otherised” in much the same way that Jews were in Nazi Germany.

Apparently this is all part of a jolly jape

subverting the stereotype of Muslims as angry and fun-hating religious fanatics.

It is not known whether the victims of the Hyper-Cacher at the Porte de Vincennes  are included in this fun-loving jamboree’s list of Islamophobes.

Join the struggle for a good larf: Islamic Human Rights Commission.

  2. Of course the most natural response to someone insulting your prophet is to kill a Jew, oh my mistake that’s a terrorist! I always steer clear of these groups as Antisemitism usually rears it’s ugly head after a while.

  10. Historic leader of French left, PIerre Rousset,

“In some activist circles in France and, especially, in the international blogosphere (particularly in the English language), the “problem” appears to be none other than Charlie Hebdo itself. So much so that some even neglect to condemn the murderers, or support the victims in the way a noose supports a hanged man. I have learned to despise the phrase “of course, murder can never be justified,” invariably followed by a lethal “but…”.”

“Was Charlie Hebdo the ideal victim? Perhaps not, but why should it be? The accusations levied against Charlie’s murder cartoonists often sound like the charges directed at a woman who has been raped. Wasn’t she dressed very scantily? Wasn’t her behaviour provocative? Doesn’t she have a wayward past? First comes suspicion then comes the indictment: Charlie Hebdo was racist. In much of the English-language blogosphere, the verdict has been promptly delivered, an open-and-shut case, repeated round-the-clock, indisputable.

Trial by falsification is a simple affair. You merely have to select those drawings that might seem racist while ignoring the much larger number that are explicitly anti-racist. [14] You describe any cartoon of Muhammad as Islamophobic, even when the point is to distinguish between Islam and fundamentalists – such as Cabu’s famous cover illustration presenting the Prophet with his head in his hands bemoaning that “it’s tough to be loved by fools”. Incidentally, many English-language commentators display characteristic cultural imperialism when they refuse to take into account French traditions of satirical cartooning and anticlericalism (or do so only to criticize these traditions).”

“”It’s easy to understand why the SWP would react in this way, given that it has to erase its tracks and blind readers to its own responsibilities. It was one of the main organizations of the radical Left to describe the rise of Islamic fundamentalism as the expression of a new anti-imperialism. And when women in Britain itself called on progressive forces to support them against the fundamentalist threat, the SWP made it nearly impossible for them to get a hearing on the Left.”

  11. oh yeah, and the white racist french left who supported the hijab ban are such great models…

could it be that Tendance Coatesy himself has a secret agenda behind his support of Charlie? a zionist agenda such as the AWL?

  12. ” a zionist agenda such as the AWL?” Ah! The You-Know -Who’s (aka “Zionists”) are everywhere, controlling everything, with their “secret agenda”s, eh?

  13. “its (sic) hard to tell the difference between a so called Marxist or (sic) the daily mail”

The thing is that the Mail, really, *should* be the more Islamophile of the two. It probably would be, had Thatcher not happened. As it is, pretty much only Hitchens Minor represents that tendency.

In France – as is the case in so many fields in so many mainland European countries – things have remained as they once were in the Anglosphere, i.e. the mainstream Right (at least until Sarkozy) never really went Zionist in the same way, hence Charlie Hebdo seeming “safe” for much more of the Left.

  14. Does a ‘Zionist agenda’ include banning all ostentatious religious symbols from state education?

    I think not…..

Though feel free to come up with something more plausible involving, preferably, Green Lizards.

  15. If you can’t tell the difference between the Daily Mail and Marxism, then whatever you have to say is worthless. (Is it like Hamlet who couldn’t tell the difference between a hawk and a hacksaw?).

  16. I dont think there is any secret agenda, and I dont care for fascist conspiracy crap. i agree with the following Workers Power analysis of the AWL. it seems the politics of this site is similar.

you should check this out; http://www.workerspower.co.uk/2013/11/the-awls-anti-anti-imperialist-islamophobia/

also check this out by the weekly worker, cpgb.

    http://cpgb.org.uk/home/videos/the-alliance-for-workers-liberty-and-social-imperialism

so dont accuse me of nasty things i dont hold. this is what the left already thinks about the AWL, it is a pro imperialist left. i suggest the reason is that you have not really understood Lenin’s Imperialism, the highest stage of capitalism. You should study John Rees, that will set you right.

  17. no the zionism has no obvious link to banning all religious symbols from the state in France. this was rather from the conservative/far right in alliance with some misguided leftists. i think the object of it was targetted as Muslims, but others occasionally fell foul, including orthodox jews, christians of a traditional kind, a couple of sikhs for wearing a turban, and mostly muslim women.

  18. “You should study John Rees, that will set you right”: is that comment intended as parody? I fear not, as it comes from a conspiracy-theorist who sees s0-called “Zionism” everywhere, with its “secret agenda” and also thinks Workers Power and the CPGB are reputable sources of information and analysis.

  19. Like when Rees and the rest of his mob are repeating the line of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs? You mean that ‘anti-imperialism’? The one backing actual fascists?
