Agreed that it’s shameful, Pinkie. But the SWP itself has been only to happy to ban, demonise, intimidate and suppress people it doesn’t like. The words “hoist” and “petard” come to mind.

Which does make it rather puzzling that you are so obsessed with the subject. And don’t worry, nobody would ever be frightened by threats of violence from you or anybody else in the AWL – you run away crying from a punch-up with the SWP, and they’re rubbish. “Not you, then?” No, not really. Like you I am not Jewish but I have had two Jewish partners, lived in Israel for a while and have ended up, coincidentally, living in predominantly Jewish areas of three European cities. So I take a passing interest in Jewish affairs and Israel-Palestine, but I certainly don’t obsessively bang on about these subjects like you – given that you aren’t Jewish, don’t seem to have any Jewish connections and probably couldn’t find Jerusalem on a map, it is all rather odd isn’t it?
“you sound ever so tough”. Oh not me, I am not in the habit of issuing physical threats, unlike yourself. During a mercifully brief period in the 1980s when I had to have some contact with the AWL, i always found the macho posturing of these young middle class twerps rather amusing (they were forever “stitching” and “creaming” and “smashing” the Pabs and the Stals, in their minds at least). But whenever there was a real fight they were nowhere to be seen.
