SWP Loyalists Attack Opposition “Perverted Hyenas”.

with 14 comments

While party loyalists have been able to accept the miserable and humiliating treatment handed out to women who complain of rape an…d sexual harassment by their party leadership, even they have had to draw the line at the kind of immoral and completely unprincipled behaviour exhibited by the IDOOP faction of late. It seems that IDOOP have DESCENDED INTO THE GUTTER and ADOPTED THE MORALS OF PERVERTED HYENAS: last Sunday they brazenly called a meeting for SUPPORTERS OF THEIR FACTION ONLY, which meant that members of Tony Cliff’s family could not attend. I cannot find words adequate to expressing my disgust at this latest turn of events. As Simon Assaf points out “these people do not belong in our party”: indeed, I would say that it is only by the grace of God that they should be suffered to live much longer.

This is the result of the following incident as recounted by Paul Demarty on the Weekly Worker site.

CC members even staged an idiotic stunt at the faction meeting itself, taking Tony Cliff’s widow Chanie Rosenberg along in an unsuccessful attempt to gain entry by means of the quasi-divine aura that the Gluckstein-Rosenberg clan may still have in the minds of SWPers.

This is the Cliff family version (Anna Gluckstein)  of the stunt.

“As you know I never do facebook, but today I feel compelled to. Today there was a faction meeting in central London. I went along with a couple of comrades and others and we were barred from entry! This was not only me, this was two CC members and two of our journalists.

I had invited my mum to the meeting and then I had to tell her she wasn’t allowed to come. I understand that there will be organisational points that the comrades in the faction may wish to discuss and we would have left at that point, but they were having a five hour meeting in which general political perspectives were to be discussed.

Chanie was very upset about this situation as we have never had closed political discussions from other members. We are all in the same organisation, how can this happen? where is the democracy in this?”

We note that the opposition has agreed the following,

” it was agreed in a near unanimous vote to stop the commentary on blogs and Facebook and use the channels opened up by the faction to conduct the argument internally within the party.”

Clearly their CC opponents do not intend to abide by the same rules.
