Red-Brown Gamon Alain Soral Expresses Backing for the Gilets Jaunes.

French far-right author sent to prison for anti-Semitic incitement

Times of Israel.

Alain Soral, a well-known Holocaust denier with multiple convictions for incitement, gets unusual one-year term for charges including insulting a female magistrate.

Soral is one of the leading ‘Red-Brown’ thinkers in Europe.

He says that he stands for a “nationalist left”

They are very keen on national Sovereignty and loathe the European Union.

Soral also claims to be from a Marxist background, including association with the Parti communiste français (PCF) – they dispute this.

He has been a member of the Front National.

He fell out with them at the end of the first decade of the new millennium.

His site Égalité et Réconciliation (motto: ‘a left politics for the working class and right wing morality’) was the base of a new movement.

It  has expressed support, pêle-mêle,for Vladimir Putin, Hugo Chávez, Bashar al-Assad, and the Gilets Jaunes.

They are extremely (if that’s not too mild a word) ‘anti-Zionist’.

In 2009 he set up, with the racist ‘comedian’  Dieudonné  (best known for his claims that ‘Jews’ were behind the Save Trade) and the Iranian regime supporter  Yahia Gouasmi  a “« Liste antisioniste ” that stood for the European elections. Their best score was in the banlieue (Seine-Saint-Denis) of Paris where they got a tiny 2,83%

Wikipedia accurately summarises his, and his circle’s ideology:

  • criticism of communitarianism
  • criticism of feminism
  • criticism of the media and the society of spectacle in general and of neoliberal capitalism
  • criticism of capitalism and US imperialism
  • criticism of Zionism and Jewish lobbying
  • criticism of mainstream vulgarity
  • the Arab–Israeli conflict
  • the dismantling of Yugoslavia, and possibly of France
  • the dismantling of Iraq, Libya, Syria, and Ukraine

In his response to the Court Sentence Égalité et Réconciliation claims that Soral is a victim of elite State repression against the Gilets Jaunes.

Une condamnation qui tombe à pic, en pleine guerre des Gilets jaunes contre le Système et du Système contre les Gilets jaunes

A sentence that  happens just at the right moment in the war between the Yellow Vests and the System and the  System against the Yellow vests

They state that the most conscious elements of the Gilets Jaunes are following the same line of thought as

Soral’s friends ends their post by comparing him to Nelson Mandela who became President of South Africa.

Mandela, détenu pendant 18 ans à Robben Island (1964-1982), deviendra le premier président noir d’Afrique du Sud, 12 ans plus tard, en 1994.

Far Right Alain Soral: Political Confusionism Spreads to UK as Socialist Fight’s Ian Donovan Defends him.

Socialist Fight’s New Friends.

A few days ago a dispute on a French (privately run) television ‘show’ run by the anti-semite Dieudonné ended in serious fisticuffs (details below).

Two notorious racists, the one the well-known Alain Soral (convicted for a host of offences involving incitement to race hatred, largely centred on incitement against Jews despite his efforts to disguise them as ‘anti-Zionism’), the other, an Internet neo-Nazi,   Daniel Conversano, came to blows.

White nationalist gets punched out on French show for whining he’s up to his ‘a***hole in Arabs’

A discussion on French internet show Niveau Zéro (Zero Level) about Arab immigrants turned violent on Tuesday when “left nationalist”(sic essayist Alain Soral attacked ethno-nationalist Daniel Conversano, punching and kicking him as cameras rolled.

Conversano — a notoriously anti-Islam, anti-immigrant far-right pundit — left the studio with bruises and a split lip after he said that everyone in France is sick of Arabs, which is why the far-right National Front party is polling at 30 percent.

The debate was organized by anti-Semitic comedian Dieudonné M’Bala M’Bala, who struggled to keep his composure as the discussion between Soral and Conversano erupted into blows.

Soral is the founder of France’s nationalist Association for Equality and Reconciliation, but is also an instructor for the French national boxing society. He lost his cool when Conversano — who is known for his racist views and advocacy of war crimes against Muslims — said that reconciliation between longtime French citizens and Arab immigrants is impossible.

On one point : Soral is not a “left nationalist”.

He is a virulent anti-Semite, with a host of conspiracy theories. Soral may define himself as ‘National Republican’ but his reasons for refusing to be classed on the far-right indicate this. He says, “. L’extrême droite désigne selon lui « les néo-conservateurs, les impérialistes américano-sionistes et le pouvoir bancaire international », the extreme-right designates, to him, neo-conservatives, the imperialist American-Zionists and the international  power of the Bankers” (Here)

One see the attraction for Donovan and ‘Socialist’ Fight in that….

Soral has also stated that the existence of the ‘gas chambers’ are a matter for historians to discuss freely (“sur les chambres à gaz, sans nier a priori leur existence, il faut laisser les historiens en discuter et cette discussion devrait être libre !”

Soral was recently involved in a court case:

Procès d’un ex-mannequin contre Soral : 6 mois de prison ferme requis. (Les Inrocks 20.10.16.).

During the trial a black mannequin,  Binti Bangoura, accursed Soral of a sustained campaign of harassment. That is, endless text messages, threats and and racist insults. She had contacted him via Facebook, on the basis that he appeared a fighter against injustice. She asked him to spread an article about Guinea, la Guinée.  They swopped intimate photos. Soon he became pressing. Too pressing. Trying to back off Bangoura found that Soral began to send more and more unpleasant messages. These included, “Ton destin c’est d’être une pute à juifs”, (Your destiny it to a whore for the Jews) and  “Finalement, il ne te reste que les juifs et les pédés”(in the end you’re only got the Jews and the Poofs.”) .

The campaign against Bangoura became a “tsunami”  of insulting messages on the Internet, including on Soral’s web site, Egalité et réconciliation.

At the end of November he was found guilty and ordered to pay costs, a fine, and 800 Euros to the victim (Le Figaro).

This is another report:  Agression de Daniel Conversano : Dieudonné atteint le niveau zéro plus vite que prévu, grâce à Soral.

Conversano, who is  also a far-right bigot, was hospitalised by Soral and his bodyguard (violemment agressé par le gourou d’Égalité et Réconciliation aidé de ses gardes du corps, selon la page Facebook de la victime).

Which is what this says:

“Le polémiste antisémite Alain Soral a violemment agressé mercredi un nazillon connu sur les réseaux sociaux pour ses diatribes antisémites.”

“Selon le site Inglorious Basterds, spécialisé dans la traque sur internet des antijuifs, Daniel Conversano est « un nazi de la pire espèce, très virulent à l’égard de la communauté juive. Un ultra-nationaliste français raciste et antisémite qui a longtemps travaillé pour Dieudonné «  (More here)

Alain Soral – one of France’s best known anti-Semites – on Trial for Harassing Black Woman.

Soral and the ‘Anti-Zionist’ List. (2009).

This court case (the judgement will known on the 29th of November) is astonishing.

These included, “Ton destin c’est d’être une pute à juifs”, (Your destiny it to a whore for the Jews) and  “Finalement, il ne te reste que les juifs et les pédés” (in the end you’re only got the Jews and the Poofs.”) .

The campaign against Bangoura became a “tsunami”  of insulting messages on the Internet, including on Soral’s web site, Egalité et réconciliation.

This not an ordinary tale of sexual harassment.

Alain Soral began his political career with a brief visit (whose date and existence from the mid-1990s to is contested)  to the Parti Communiste Français (PCF). He soon became a ‘sovereigntist’ opposing the Maastricht Treaty Referendum in 1992, and railing at Wall Street, the Frankfurt Bourse, the Dwarfs of Tokyo and…international Zionism. Soral’s call for a new alliance of Communists, nationalist Gaullists, ‘left’ republican nationalists, and ‘ultra-nationalists’ did not take off. He left the PCF.

Soral’s ‘post-left’ development began with a critique of ‘communitarianism’ – that is anything that is not French nationalism. In the new century he worked closely with the far-right Front National. At one point he was an adviser to Jean-Marie Le Pen. During this time 2006)  he visited Gaddafi, and expressed admiration for Hugo Chávez. Even Le Pen backed off when he began to talk of the gas chambers as a whimsical fairy-tales (lubies).

In 2009 for the European Elections, Soral, with the ‘comedian’ Dieudonné  and Yahia Gouasmi, President of the Shiite Federation of France, a « Liste antisioniste » anti-Zionist list (1,30% in Ile de France, 2,83% en Seine-Saint-Denis). It is said that it was financed by the Iranian government, to the sum of 3 million euros. He regularly participates in pro-Palestinian demonstration, despite opposition from some of the organisers. More recently he has been a great supporter of Vladimir Putin and has promoted the ideas of  “néo-eurasisme“. He is, it perhaps goes without saying, pro-Assad. A critic of globalisation, Soral propagates a variety of conspiracy theories, involving Freemasons, the bourgeoisie, the USA, the Banks and ….well you can guess.

He is, above all,  anti-Semite.

Soral is political confusionism incarnate.

Indeed his web site, Égalité et Réconciliation, claims to synthesize the values and culture of the Right with the economics of the Left.

There are too many legal prosecutions against him to list, but they all centre of his racism and anti-Semitism.

He is notorious for his opposition to events and memorials commemorating the Shoah, such as Holocaust day. One incident in 2013 involved him making the infamous ‘quenelle’ gesture in front of the Berlin Shoah momument, and broadcasting a video of the event.

Soral is close enough to Dieudonné M’Bala M’Bala – who created the ‘up your arse’ Quenelle – to be known as his eminence grise.  Dieudonné, has himself run into trouble for his attacks on Jews, which he has attempted to defend pointing to their alleged role in the African slave trade. (See amongst scores of posts: Réponse courte à Dieudonné : les Juifs et la traite des esclaves).

The prosecution in the present Soral Trial has called for a six months prison sentence.

Far Right, Anti-Gay Marriage and Supporters of Dieudonné ‘Day of Rage’.

Dieudonné - Paris, France

Dieudonné: Backs his Fascist Mates Today.

Catholic fundamentalists, ‘bonnets rouges’ (those protesting against taxes), far right Islamophobic activists, supporters of Dieudonné: a nameless political magma has called for a demonstration in Paris this  Sunday in a big “Day of Rage”. The event, prepared since last autumn, has gathered  nearly 30 000 members on Facebook.

The organisers hope to raise a motley crowd gathered around a slogan: “Holland resign!”. On its website the  Day of Rage  invokes a jumble of causes, “fiscal overkill, peasant poverty, unemployment, insecurity, the bankruptcy of National Education, the destruction of the family, contempt of the French identity,  violations of freedom and denial of democracy “ . Libération.

The list of causes is long, and it is best to look at the article to go through them. The majority are from the populist extreme right, including the ultra-Catholic wing.

Dieudonné has joined in. (Facebook)

Venez nombreux le 26 janvier à 14H place de la bastille ! et ne vous fiez pas aux rumeurs comme quoi la manif serait anti islam ! c’est faux !

Come in droves for the 26th of January, Place de la Bastille. Don’t believe the rumours that the demo will be anti-Islam – that’s false!

He cannot be at the march itself (he’s playing in Bordeaux today), but Dieudonné asks for his supporters to stand behind the ” Liberté D’expression” banner of Alain Soral.

This is what Soral has said about ‘Zionist-Jews’,

When you’re talking with a Frenchman who is a Zionist Jew, and you start to say, well maybe there are problems coming from your side, maybe you might have made a few mistakes, it’s not always the fault of other people if no-one can stand you wherever you go… because that’s basically their general history, you see… for 2,500 years, every time they settled somewhere, after about fifty years or so, they get kicked. You’d think that’s strange! It’s as though everyone is wrong except them. And the guy will start shouting, yelling, going mad… you won’t be able to carry on with the conversation. Which, to sum it all up, tells you that there’s a psychopathology with Zionism Judaism, something that verges on mental illness… Here.

It will be interesting to see if many of Maghrebin  descent will turn up to stand shoulder to shoulder with the French fascists.

Thierry Meyssan and Syria: The Far-right and Assad.

with 10 comments

Far Right Tries to Attract Anti-Imperialists.

On Voltaire Net we read, “Thierry Meyssan French intellectual, founder and chairman of Voltaire Network and the Axis for Peace Conference. His columns specializing in international relations feature in daily newspapers and weekly magazines in Arabic, Spanish and Russian. His last two books published in English : 9/11 the Big Lie and Pentagate.

He is not content with conspiracy theories about 9/11 in New York and the claim that the  “Pentagon was the target of a guided missile, fired on as the result of a right-wing conspiracy within the United States.”

Currently Meyssan’s defence of the Syrian regime is being widely broadcast.

On Meyssan’s own site he has taken upon himself to defend the Syrian regime.

What has been happening in Syria for the past three years? According to NATO and GCC* media reports, the “regime” has shed blood to suppress a democratic revolution. However this version is contradicted by the current support for the government estimated at, according to sources, between 60 and 90 % of the population. The truth is quite different: NATO and the GCC have successively lost a war of succession and a fourth generation Nicaraguan-type war. It is they, and they alone, who organized and financed the death of 120,000 Syrians.

Meyssan is currently (according to the weekly Le Point) cited on Wikipedia) , “professeur de relations internationales au Centre d’études stratégiques de Damas », qu’il « signe des éditos dans al-Watan » et qu’il est « conseiller particulier de Bachar el-Assad »” – Professor of international relations at the Strategic Studies Centre of Damas, and a special adviser of Assad.

In October Le Monde Diplomatique published an article, Les embrouilles idéologiques de l’extrême droite, (the deliberate confusions of the far-right) largely about Alain Soral. (1)

It drew attention to the mixture of “anti-imperialism”, conspiracy theory, and (barely disguised) anti-Semitism peddled by a fringe of extreme-right ideologists.

They are designed to attract a ‘left’ audience, with anti-globalisation, anti-imperialist themes, and the ‘right’ with an appeal to (French) nationalism.

Meyssan participates the site Egalite et Réconciliation founded by Soral. (2)

It does just that.

It is devoted to promoting this ideology.

Equality and Reconciliation advocates the union of the “Labour left” (Marxist) and the “Moral Right” (Nationalism and Patriotism) in response to capitalist globalisation Many consider that it takes as its model the pre-great War Proudhon Circle, which brought together syndicalists (not, despite the legend, Georges Sorel himself) , and Maurrassians (followers of the Action Française, the French ‘Royalist’ party of the extreme right).

It would be a great mistake if the left, in its justified hatred of the jihadist killers in Syria,  their international recruits and backers, working in Syria, forgets that Assad has attracted people of Meyssan’s stripe.

(* GCC: Cooperation Council of Arab States in the Gulf)
(1) Wikipedia.

Soral defined himself as a Marxist, and was a member of the French Communist Party in the early 90’s. He left the PCF because of his opposition to the party’s renunciation of revolutionary content[citation needed]. Soral supported left-wing dissident candidate Jean-Pierre Chevènement during the 2002 presidential election[citation needed].

In 2005, Soral turned to the far-right, joining the National Front‘s campaign committee; he was given responsibility for social issues and for the suburbs under the authority of Marine Le Pen. Soral’s personal journey has led some to compare him with Jacques Doriot, one of the neo-socialists in the early 1930s and Collaborationist under Pétain.[8] He supported the Bloc identitaire‘s distribution of food in January 2006.[8]

Since 18 November 2007, Soral has been a member of the central committee of the National Front which he left in early 2009 because of some ideas he was in conflict with (especially the menace of Islam which is not an actual threat for him).

In 2007, he founded the group “Egalité et Réconciliation”,[9] a think tank led by the ideas he developed in his books and his several interviews (an innovative mix between social and economic ideas from Left, and Values like Nation or morality from Right).

(2) Interestingly Meyssan is described as a “personal friend” of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a recent post on this site, criticising Iran for giving way to the West over its nuclear programme.
