Is the Maddest Post Skwawkbox has ever done?

The Maddest Post Steve Walker has ever posted?

Answer, no it is not the maddest post.

The Squawking fellow is now attacking Keir Starmer for having a child who has tested positive for Covid.

Keir Starmer has been forced to self-isolate today after one of his children tested positive for the coronavirus. Starmer infamously pushed the government to re-open schools, “No ifs, no buts, no equivocation” – and schools promptly became the main driver for the new ‘Delta’ third wave of the pandemic – although he subsequently tried to claim he had been advocating caution on the re-opening when cases predictably rocketed.

Starmer also spent time in the Commons chamber before finding out he might be infectious.

The UK is dying – in many cases literally – for want of an actual opposition.

Meanwhile Tina Werkmann- one time stalwart of the CPGB (Provisional Central Committee), Weekly Worker has been busy.

  1. No, he is referring to Starmers lack of opposition, esp re return of schools. Not the fact that his child has covid

    • I would gently suggest that when people’s children are affected by this it would be better not to use this as a pretext to try and score political points about the father’s alleged Parliamentary record on the issue.

      • The children of millions of people have been ‘affected by this’, in significant part because of Starmer. Take off your bloody middle-class shite-specs

        • Like everyone else of your political ilk who pushes the prolier-than-thou card, there is always the suspicious smell coming from your posts that you don’t regard the UK rap crossover as “properly” working-class.

  3. You ask; “Is this the maddest post Skwawkbox has ever done” ? No. That honour went to one that went up just tonight, which led on the fact that in some fashion, Angela Rayner’s mobile, probably crushed in a handbag or tote grip or the like, sent out a 12 character gibberish message. This, in Steve Walker’s mind, was an existential moment in British Labour Party History. See; https://skwawkbox.org/2021/07/21/rayner-speedily-deletes-covfefe-moment/

  4. The small businessman and Howard Beckett-worshipper Steve Walker (prop: “Skwawkbox”) has a bleedin’ nerve posting btl comments here as he has banned me (and I suspect Coatesy too) from commenting btl at Skwawkbox (mind you I’m not sure I’d want to comment there, alongside all the antisemites, conspiracy theorists and loons to whom Mr Walker happily allows free rein).

    • And me…………………but then I’m a tool of Mossad, probably. Oh, and please don’t forget Skwakies BTL anti-vaxxers as well. Here’s one on the Starmer self-isolating thread; “His intention is simply to legitimate the covid pandemic lie. He probably pretends to have taken a vaccine or two too.”

    • I have not posted a single comment on Skwawky’s Blog, ever.

The Comments Section reads like a parody of Private Eye’s From the Message Boards.

  5. Private Eye’s “From the Message Boards” is at least entertaining – unlike the antisemitic loons, ranting ignoramouses and conspiracy theorists who identify with Skwawkbox as their natural home.

    • Looking at recent comments last night, apart from one actually defending Stalin, I noticed quite a few attacking the very concept of education, even putting the word in scare quotes. This brings on a clear sense that people there don’t even know what the Labour movement was founded on. If, in the decades leading up to 1945, it wasn’t about making it much easier for working-class people to get an education, what *was* it about?

      July 22, 2021 at 2:01 pm

    • Also, as you’d expect from people who push the prolier-than-thou card (when they really mean white, retro proles, an entirely different thing) there seems to be a strong undercurrent of Brexit support there.

(I know someone is going to say “Labour was founded on fighting for working-class security of jobs &c, not education. But wanting to open up the highest levels of education to anyone who wanted them, not just people who could flash their old school ties and get in, was so central to Labour’s origins that I simply cannot imagine how anyone can dismiss it as an aim for the working class and claim to be in that tradition.)

      • “Prolier than thou” is never good but is simply a f**kin’ joke when in the context the petty bourgeois small businessman Walker and his hero the millionaire solicitor and landlord Howard Beckett.
