Skwawkbox: Has Steve Walker Left the Labour Party?

with 11 comments

Skwawky, Steve Walker, has been in the firing line again.

The Labour Party nationally responded by accusing Skwawkbox of “gratuitous innuendos and assertions about various Party members, as well two Labour MPs“…without providing evidence to the contrary.

What is the future for this alt-news site?

It has become a sterile factional instrument for tool Walker and his little band.

Now we hear:

Breaking, Exclusive.

This now doing the rounds:

Skwawky has yet to respond.

This is the kind of support he’s got these days,

*$tarmers notion of socialism is the same as the Conservatives ,,, only for themselves and their cronies Rob the 99% , never has the corruption been more blatant.

*The Chumocracy is no longer the sole representative of The Conservative & Fascist Party, enter the little dragon, The Labour & Zionist Party.

*Was this dodgy software systems in operation and used for the election of Sir keir Rodney Starmer?and others We know that both Evans and starmer are into rigging and I have always thought somthing was not kosher with the vote for the knight??..These two characters have shown that they are capable and devoid of any form of human decency.

  1. But don’t you find it pretty shocking that a contract, for Anonyvoter, is awarded without competitive tendering to David Evan’s old mates from Croydon council? Given that the LP leadership has been criticising the Tories for “chumocracy” in awarding contracts shouldn’t we be welcoming journalism that exposes the same abuses at the top of the LP?

    • The problem is, is that SB is so often wrong, innacurate or simply grossly and sometimes irresponsibly biased in most things that it puts up (leaving aside the ad hominem attacks on ill defined “Zionists”, regional LP officers, MP’s of any stripe it doesn’t like) that even if it got it right on a matter of genunine concern, it would probably be disbelieved, making the damage worse.

      • The point is exactly that.

Apart from a well deserved reputation for inaccuracy in the service of groups (the faction based in UNITE which had influence when Corbyn was leader) he has got deep into local political factional disputes, obviously Liverpool is the most striking, though is he not a proud Yorkshireman?

These kinds of municipal disputes are rarely clear. Above all, they involve councillors, party, lay and full time, officials, and he acts not just as kind of PE column on such but as a would-be active participant.

Sometimes he just seems to wish to make news not only for these reasons but to stir things up just for the hell of it.

“Exclusive: shortlisted Liverpool mayoral candidate Lavelle accused of persistent bullying and hate-speech toward disabled student. Contempt for benefits claimants also facet of Lavelle’s behaviour even after election as Labour councillor, according to colleague”

That is apart from being a tool in union factionalism. And the kind of following this post underlines by their comments on his Blog.

How on earth he thinks it helps the left, what left you may ask given the fragementation at present, it is hard to see.

  3. Are the facts wrong? Anonyvoter is provided by Henson IT Solutions Ltd. Only two directors are cited on Companies House: Madeline and Mark Henson. Maddie Henson is a Labour councillor and Croydon Mayor an old crony of Evans. She was asked to comment by Squarkbox on the contract and confirmed no competitive tendering took place. She said: “We had conversations, we proposed a contract and they accepted it, that’s how it works.”

So never mind your attitude to Squarkbox what is your attitude to this type of “chumocracy” an giving contracts to mates?

    • Before I’d comment on anything like that, i need to hear both sides of a case – not just to blindly accept and regurgitate what one man, on one website (with a history of innacuracy) is saying.

      • “Sources also indicated that Mr Walker, a former chair of Garston and Halewood CLP in the north west of England, had been the subject of numerous complaints, including allegations of bullying, harassment and sexism.”

        • Will we ever see his like again ? Well, unfortunately yes, as he seems to indicate that keeping hs affilitated membership of UNITE gives him carte blanche to carry on snivelling.

  4. Perhaps we spoke too soon……Mr Walker is now claiming not be leaving anything at anytime, and is – in the time honoured phrase – “consulting his legal eagles” to do battle with the hawk eyed reporters of the Jewish Chronicle. Meanwhile the rest of the world goes on about its business …..https://skwawkbox.org/2021/03/12/no-steve-walker-has-not-left-the-labour-party-jewish-chronicles-claims-are-untrue-and-defamatory/

  5. Seems Walsh and Coates and co are as inaccurate as Squarkbox! Check your sources.
