Richard Seymour: the Lies Denied.

with 12 comments

Sesquipedalian Seymour Slays Slanders.

Richard Seymour needs no introduction to an audience of advanced Marxist penseurs.

His talks with Laurie Penny, Ali G, and other intellectuals  has set him apart.

Tipped for his forthcoming appearance on ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians‘ Lenny, as us close mates call him, is however the subject of vicious rumours.

A normally irenic Seymour has been shaken from his heavy responsibly building the newly formed Left Unity party by these charges by those afflicted by Oneirophrenia.

We can only echo his denials.

And indeed reverberate with them.

They have absolutely nothing to do with his past in Northern Ireland.

Not at all.

  1. I am afraid I don’t follow any of this Andrew. I obviously know that Seymour is a big admirer of Stalin but I am afraid this post gores over my head, can you explain or is it all an in joke?

  4. It is, I repeat, nothing to do with his Northern Irish Protestant background, or his early employment in a very special intersectional capacity.

  5. I watched that documentary on the French Revolution on Christmas Day. I thought it very instructive. Those Frenchies eh?!

  8. In terms of the slating of the book this makes sense. But hasn’t this guy gone to university? Do they use big words like that there? I understand why he writes for the Guardian. This reminds me of the sketch in Black adder where John Coltrane as Dr Johnson announces in similar terms that he has just compiled the first English dictionary. Rowan Atkinson then asks him if he has included discombobulated, hilarious. Try and find it and put it up Andrew.

  9. Should have been Robbie Coltrane of course and one of the words was contrafibularlity, the sketch is called that.
