Don’t Ban Press TV!

with 6 comments

Press TV Situation Comedy.

The ever wonderful and weird world of Press TV (here) came under fire on Newsnight yesterday (here). Micheal Crick did the business.

Apparently they’re under investigation for their lack of impartiality!

But where else can you hear Gallows Galloway (appropriately Press TV are based by Gallows Corner) pontificate. Or that little darling Yvonne Ridley espouse the wonders of the Iranian regime.

A national treasure indeed.

  1. Perhaps the image you’ve chosen is in poor taste… it’s an image of Mahmoud Asgari and Ayaz Marhoni being hanged in Iran apparently for the “crime” of having gay sex. They were 16 and 15 years of age at the time of their arrest.

  2. Unfortuntaly, we can also hear George pontificate on talksport. I wouldn’t mind that being banned.

  3. Oliver – I would have thought that it was in poor taste to defend, as Galloway does, the repressive theocracy in Iran.

  4. Vengaence, the point i’m making is that the image above is quite a famous image concerning a totally different issue (the murder of iranian boys who are suspected of being gay) and bears no relation to the idiotic comments of galloway (whose name i’m loathed to even type) or the impartiality of press tv. i am merely pointing out that another image might be more suitable… perhaps galloway’s head with a noose photoshopped over his head would be a nice start.

  5. Poor Taste?

I thought that was the point.

  6. Now this has moved from poor taste to downright…

anyway… let’s just say you’re off my rss list but onto another list instead… you can’t be at the top of it though, ’cause galloway’s there.
