Its best known member is  Christian Picquet. Clashes with the majority have been accelerating since the 2007 Presidential Campaign , during which UNIR supporters tended to back a ‘unitary’ left candidate (from the anti-liberal collectives that campaigned for a Non vote to the European Constitutional Treaty).
